What does Leviticus 9:6 mean?

Moses is calling the Israelites to obey God's instructions for worship and sacrifice, promising them something extraordinary in return. After weeks of consecration rituals and preparation, the people are about to witness God's presence in a tangible, visible way. There's a beautiful connection here between obedience and encounter: when we align ourselves with what God asks of us, we position ourselves to experience his presence more directly. This speaks to something true in any faith life, that following through on what we understand God calls us to do often opens us to deeper awareness of him.
