What does Leviticus 9:4 mean?
After Aaron and his sons were consecrated as priests, God invited the whole community to witness something extraordinary: God's actual presence appearing among them. To prepare for that sacred moment, they needed to bring offerings, including animals for peace offerings (which were shared meals between the person, the priest, and God) and a grain offering. The peace offerings especially mattered because they represented restored relationship and fellowship, which is what it means to be in God's presence. This verse reminds us that encountering God isn't casual, but it's also deeply relational, not just about rules or fear, it's about peace and communion.
