Leviticus 3:7
“If he offers a lamb for his offering, then he shall offer it before Yahweh;”
What does Leviticus 3:7 mean?
In ancient Israel's sacrificial system, this verse describes one of the acceptable animals for a peace offering (also called a fellowship offering). A lamb was considered a valuable gift to present to God, and the person bringing it would offer it in the temple where a priest could properly prepare it. The peace offering was unique among sacrifices because it was partly burned for God, partly given to the priests, and partly returned to the person bringing it, creating a shared meal that symbolized restored relationship and gratitude. For someone in hard times, this reminds us that meaningful worship doesn't require perfection or great wealth, just a sincere heart willing to offer something that matters to us.
