Leviticus 27:33
“He shall not search whether it is good or bad, neither shall he change it. If he changes it at all, then both it and that for which it is changed shall be holy. It shall not be redeemed.’””
What does Leviticus 27:33 mean?
When someone set aside an animal as a gift to God in Old Testament times, this rule said they couldn't inspect it first to swap out a weak animal for a strong one. Once the choice was made, it was final and belonged to God, no switching allowed. If someone broke this rule and tried to substitute anyway, both animals became God's property and couldn't be bought back, so the person lost twice over. The point was about integrity in giving: your offering to God deserves your honest choice, not a calculated swap to keep the best for yourself.
