What does Leviticus 24:22 mean?

God is calling his people to apply the same standards of justice to everyone in their community, regardless of where they were born or what their background is. This matters because it's easy to show favoritism to those who are like us or who belong to our group, while treating outsiders more harshly. By insisting on one law for everyone, God is protecting the vulnerable and saying that his justice doesn't have different tiers based on who you are. This reflects something beautiful about how God sees people: fairness and equal dignity aren't optional additions to faith, but are central to how his people should live.
