What does Leviticus 23:19 mean?
This instruction was part of the Festival of Firstfruits celebration, when Israel brought their first harvested grain to God as thanksgiving. The sin offering (the goat) acknowledged human imperfection and the need for cleansing before approaching God, while the peace offerings (the lambs) expressed gratitude and restored community through a shared meal.
