““If the priest shall come in, and examine it, and behold, the plague hasn’t spread in the house, after the house was plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.”
What does Leviticus 14:48 mean?
When a house showed signs of mold or decay in ancient Israel, the priest would inspect it after treatment to see if the problem had truly stopped spreading. If the plague remained contained and hadn't crept further into the walls, the priest could declare the home clean and fit for living again. This was about restoration and the relief of being able to return to normal life.
