Leviticus 14:16
“The priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle some of the oil with his finger seven times before Yahweh.”
What does Leviticus 14:16 mean?
This verse describes one step in the ceremonial cleansing ritual for someone who had been healed of leprosy. The priest would dip his finger into oil he was holding and sprinkle it repeatedly, and this act of sprinkling was done symbolically before God, as an offering of gratitude and restoration.
