What does Leviticus 11:41 mean?

In the Old Testament system of kosher laws, certain animals were considered unclean and off-limits for food. The creatures described here, like insects and small ground-dwelling animals, fell into that category for the Israelite community. These rules weren't random, but part of a larger covenant that helped set God's people apart and remind them daily that obedience matters. For many of us reading this today, these specific food restrictions don't apply in the same way, especially since Jesus later declared all foods clean. But the passage still speaks to something deeper: the idea that God cares about how we live, down to the everyday details. Whether it's what we eat, how we treat our bodies, or the habits we form, our choices reflect what we value and who we're trying to honor.
