Leviticus 10:14
“The waved breast and the heaved thigh you shall eat in a clean place, you, and your sons, and your daughters with you: for they are given as your portion, and your sons’ portion, out of the sacrifices of the peace offerings of the children of Israel.”
What does Leviticus 10:14 mean?
When Israelites brought peace offerings to God, certain portions belonged to the priests as their livelihood and blessing. This verse tells the priests they could eat the breast and thigh meat in a holy place, and their whole family could share in it, because God had set these portions aside specifically for them. It's a reminder that those who serve in sacred work are meant to be cared for and to share that provision with their loved ones, creating space for celebration and family together in the presence of God.
