What does Leviticus 10:12 mean?
After a tragedy strikes Aaron's family (his sons Nadab and Abihu die while making an unauthorized offering), Moses turns to the surviving sons with instructions about their priestly duties. He's telling them to eat the leftover grain offering in a sacred way, near the altar where God dwells, treating it as holy food. This wasn't casual snacking, but a solemn act of worship and sustenance meant to remind them of their covenant relationship with God. Even in grief and loss, the work of serving God continues, and the priests themselves were meant to be nourished by what they offered.
