What does Judges 8:17 mean?
Gideon had just won a major victory against the Midianites and was pursuing the enemy kings who had escaped. When the people of Penuel refused to help feed his exhausted troops, he returned after his victory and destroyed their tower as punishment for their lack of support during Israel's time of need.
