What does Judges 7:8 mean?
Gideon has just dramatically reduced his army from thousands down to just 300 men, following God's unusual instructions to test their alertness and character. Now he sends everyone else home with their provisions and instruments, keeping only these 300 carefully selected soldiers to face a massive enemy camp visible below in the valley.
