What does Judges 7:10 mean?
God's gentle invitation to Gideon here shows something beautiful about courage: you don't have to feel brave to move forward. Gideon is leading an impossibly small army (just 300 men) against thousands, and the Lord notices his fear without shaming him for it. Instead of demanding he be fearless, God offers him a companion and a chance to see for himself that victory is already assured, which is exactly what Gideon needs in that moment. This reflects a God who meets us where we are, acknowledging our genuine anxiety while still calling us toward the next faithful step.
