What does Judges 6:5 mean?
The Midianites and their allies are sweeping across Israel like a plague of locusts, so numerous that they can't be counted. They arrive with everything they own, families and animals together, intent on stripping the land bare. The image captures both the overwhelming scale of the invasion and the terror it brings to the Israelites, who feel helpless against such a massive force.
