Judges 18:28
“There was no deliverer, because it was far from Sidon, and they had no dealings with anyone else; and it was in the valley that lies by Beth Rehob. They built the city, and lived in it.”
What does Judges 18:28 mean?
When the tribe of Dan attacked this city, its people had no one to help them. They lived isolated and far from other settlements, which made them vulnerable to attack. The Danites conquered the place, renamed it, and made it their own home. It's a sobering reminder that vulnerability and isolation can leave us exposed to harm, which is why community and connection matter so much, especially when life feels uncertain or threatening.
