Jude 1:17
“But you, beloved, remember the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
What does Jude 1:17 mean?
Jude is calling his readers back to the foundation they've already received, reminding them not to wander into false teaching that contradicts what the apostles originally taught. He's essentially saying, "You know the truth already—hold onto it," which is a steadying word for people facing confusion or pressure to believe something new. This wasn't meant to feel like legalism but rather like a trusted friend saying, "Remember what you learned from people you could trust." For anyone feeling uncertain or pulled in different directions spiritually, this is permission to return to what you know is solid ground.
