What does Joshua 8:34 mean?
After the Israelites defeated the city of Ai, Joshua gathered everyone, young and old, to hear God's law read aloud in its entirety. This wasn't a punishment or a dry legal proceeding, but a renewal of the covenant, a reminder that God's instructions came with both blessings for obedience and consequences for turning away.
