Joshua 20:2
““Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Assign the cities of refuge, of which I spoke to you by Moses,”
What does Joshua 20:2 mean?
God is reminding Joshua to set up something Moses had already taught the people about: cities where someone who accidentally killed another person could go for safety. These weren't places to hide from justice, but rather legal sanctuaries where someone's case could be fairly heard before any family member sought revenge in anger.
