What does Joshua 2:12 mean?
Rahab, a woman living in Jericho who has just hidden Israelite spies, asks them to make a binding oath before God: if she has shown them kindness, they must show the same kindness to her family when they return to conquer the city. She's asking for a tangible sign, a real promise she can point to later, because her act of helping them has put her entire household at risk. There's something beautifully human here—she doesn't ask for wealth or power, just protection for the people she loves.
