What does Joshua 19:37 mean?

This brief verse is simply part of a longer list of towns assigned to the tribe of Naphtali during Joshua's distribution of the promised land among the Israelite tribes. Kedesh and Edrei were real settlements in northern Israel, places where people would live, work, and worship God as they established themselves in the land God had promised their ancestors. While these names might seem like mere geography to us now, they represented real hope for the Israelites: God was actually fulfilling what he'd sworn generations before, giving them a homeland where they could build their families and communities. For anyone navigating uncertainty or waiting to see God's promises unfold, these simple place names remind us that God follows through, even if the timeline feels long or the path unclear.
