What does Joshua 18:26 mean?

These were small towns in Benjamin's territory, part of a longer list of settlements divided among the Israelite tribes after they entered Canaan. Joshua 18 describes how the land was surveyed and allocated so each tribe had its own region to settle and govern. This verse itself is just three place names in a genealogical record, but it reflects the practical reality that God's promise of land involved actual cities and communities where real families would live and build their futures. For readers of that time, these names would have been meaningful references to their own towns and heritage.
