What does Joshua 18:23 mean?

This verse is simply listing towns that belonged to the tribe of Benjamin in the Promised Land. Joshua 18 records how the land was divided among the remaining tribes, and this particular passage names several smaller settlements in Benjamin's territory. These place names might not mean much to us today, but they mattered deeply to the Israelites as markers of the land God had promised and given to them. For people reading Joshua, these lists were a way of saying: this land is real, it's ours now, and here are the actual places that make up our inheritance.
