What does Joshua 15:26 mean?

This verse is part of a list of towns belonging to the tribe of Judah in the southern part of their territory. These three place names (Amam, Shema, and Moladah) represented real settlements where people lived, worked, and built their communities after entering the promised land. The detailed inventory of towns throughout Joshua 15 reminds us that God's promises weren't just spiritual or abstract, but included concrete places where His people could make their homes and live out their faith in everyday life. Even though we don't know much about these particular towns today, their inclusion in Scripture shows that God cares about the specific, ordinary details of where and how His people live.
