What does Joshua 13:14 mean?

The tribe of Levi received something different from all the other Israelite tribes: instead of land, they were given the sacred offerings and sacrifices that belonged to God. This wasn't a punishment but actually a privileged calling, since the Levites were set apart as priests and temple workers whose job was to serve God directly. By sustaining them through these offerings rather than with territory, God was saying that their inheritance came from relationship with him, not from property. It's a reminder that some people are called to live differently, trusting God's provision in ways that might look unusual to the world around them.
