John 9:15
“Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, “He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and I see.””
What does John 9:15 mean?
A man born blind has just been healed by Jesus, and now the religious authorities are interrogating him, looking for reasons to discredit what happened. His answer is beautifully simple and direct, the kind of straightforward account someone gives when they're telling the truth. He doesn't get caught up in theological arguments or try to impress them, he just describes what actually occurred: mud, water, and sight where there was once only darkness. There's something quietly powerful about his refusal to overcomplicate or defend the miracle, as if he's saying, "I know what I experienced, and that's what matters."
