What does John 8:20 mean?
Jesus taught about his identity and relationship to God while standing in the temple treasury, a place where people made their offerings. Despite his bold claims that challenged the religious authorities, no one moved to arrest him, even though many wanted to. The verse reminds us that God's timing is sovereign: Jesus's arrest and crucifixion would happen according to God's plan, not according to human impulse or hostility, no matter how intense.
