John 16:27
“for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God.”
What does John 16:27 mean?
Jesus is telling his followers something deeply reassuring: God's love for them isn't conditional on their perfection or their ability to understand everything. Their love for Jesus and their trust in who he is—that he came from God—is enough to place them squarely in the Father's heart. This matters especially for people carrying shame or doubt, because Jesus isn't saying God loves you *if* you get everything right. He's saying the Father loves you because you've turned toward him through faith in Jesus. That simple, sincere turning of your heart toward God is what opens you to receiving his love.
