What does Joel 3:10 mean?
This verse flips the normal order of things upside down. Instead of tools for building peace and growing food, people are forging weapons for war, and those who feel defeated are being called to stand up and declare their strength anyway. Joel is describing a time of great conflict and upheaval, when God's judgment is coming and nations are gathering. It's a vivid, unsettling image of society transformed by crisis. Yet even in that darkness, there's something striking about the command for the weak to speak strength into their own situation, a reminder that our circumstances don't have to define what we claim about ourselves.
