Joel 2:7

They run like mighty men. They climb the wall like warriors. They each march in his line, and they don’t swerve off course.

What does Joel 2:7 mean?

This passage describes an unstoppable locust swarm advancing across the land with military precision. Joel uses the image of a perfectly coordinated army to show how complete and overwhelming the plague is, with nothing able to stop or divert its path. The point isn't really about the insects themselves, but about the seriousness of God's judgment and how thoroughly it will affect the people. When you read the whole prophecy, you find that Joel uses this terrifying image to call people back to repentance, reminding them that God's warnings matter and that returning to Him is the way forward.
