Job 9:5
“He removes the mountains, and they don’t know it, when he overturns them in his anger.”
What does Job 9:5 mean?
God's power operates on a scale so vast that even the most permanent, unmovable things on earth can be transformed without understanding why it's happening. The mountains here represent what we think of as eternal and unchangeable, yet they're subject to forces completely beyond their awareness or control. Job is expressing how God's strength works independently of creation's comprehension, sometimes through judgment that seems incomprehensible to those experiencing it. It's a humbling reminder that we're small within a universe governed by a power we can't always see or fully understand, especially when we're in pain.
