What does Job 9:24 mean?
Job is wrestling with one of life's hardest questions: why do evil people seem to prosper while the innocent suffer? He's suggesting that the world operates as though it's been handed over to the wicked, and that those who should dispense justice are either corrupted or powerless to stop injustice. His frustrated "if not he, then who is it?" points to God, the one being he believes must ultimately be responsible for how things work. What makes this passage so raw and honest is that Job isn't being pious or pretending to have answers. He's expressing the real confusion and anger many people feel when they see wickedness rewarded and goodness punished.
