Job 9:14
“How much less shall I answer him, And choose my words to argue with him?”
What does Job 9:14 mean?
Job is in the depths of his suffering, wrestling with the mystery of why God has allowed such terrible things to happen to him. He's been trying to defend himself and make sense of his pain, but in this moment, he realizes how inadequate his words are when facing God directly. He's saying, essentially: "If I can't even explain myself to other people, how could I possibly stand before God and argue my case?"
