What does Job 6:27 mean?
Job is describing how his friends have treated him with such callousness that they might as well be willing to gamble away an orphan's belongings or profit from selling someone they claimed to care about. He's using extreme examples of betrayal and cruelty to show how deeply hurt he feels by their judgment toward him during his suffering. The point isn't that they literally did these things, but that their coldness feels as bad as if they had done something equally heartless. It's a raw expression of disappointment from someone who needed compassion and got criticism instead.
