What does Job 6:14 mean?

When someone is falling apart, the right response from their friends isn't judgment or distance, but compassion. Job is saying that kindness matters most precisely when a person is at their lowest point, even if their struggles have led them away from faith or they're questioning God. This speaks to something deeply human: desperate people need connection and care, not lectures or withdrawal. The verse reminds us that showing up for someone in their darkest moment, without conditions, might be the most godly thing we can do.
