Job 38:32
“Can you lead the constellations out in their season? Or can you guide the Bear with her cubs?”
What does Job 38:32 mean?
God is asking Job whether he controls the movements of the stars and constellations, using the Great Bear (what we'd call the Big Dipper) as a specific example. This question isn't meant to be answered yes, because of course Job can't do these things, and neither can anyone else. What God is doing here is reminding Job of the vast, orderly systems that govern creation, all of which operate without human input or understanding, and asking him to consider whether the being who maintains all this cosmic order might know something Job doesn't about his own suffering.
