What does Job 37:5 mean?
When Elihu speaks these words late in Job's story, he's inviting Job (and us) to recognize that God's power operates on a scale beyond our understanding. The thunder here isn't just about noise, but about God's voice speaking through creation itself, doing magnificent work that we simply don't have the capacity to fully grasp. In the midst of Job's suffering and his questions about why bad things happen, this reminds us that God's purposes and methods often remain mysterious to us, not because God is hiding, but because we're limited in our perspective.
