What does Job 35:16 mean?
Elihu, one of Job's younger friends, is frustrated because Job keeps insisting on his innocence while refusing to accept that God must have reasons for his suffering. Elihu believes Job is just talking in circles, piling up complaints without truly understanding God's purposes or his own heart. This accusation cuts to something many of us recognize: when we're in pain, we can sometimes talk a lot without really saying anything meaningful, or defend ourselves so fiercely that we miss what God might actually be trying to teach us. The hard truth here is that endless words can sometimes be a way of avoiding real honesty about what we don't know or can't control.
