Job 34:13
“Who put him in charge of the earth? or who has appointed him over the whole world?”
What does Job 34:13 mean?
Elihu is asking a rhetorical question here, pushing back against Job's complaints. He's essentially saying: "Who made God responsible for anyone? Who appointed Him to answer to?" The point is that God's authority doesn't come from any external source or agreement, the way a human leader's power might. God simply is in charge because that's His nature.
