What does Job 31:25 mean?

Job is walking through his conscience here, examining whether he's ever let money become his primary source of joy. He's asking himself honestly: have I ever celebrated wealth itself, rather than celebrating God or using resources to help others? It's a searching question that cuts to the heart of what we worship and what makes us feel secure. In his suffering, Job is essentially saying "I don't think I made this mistake, but I'm willing to look"β€”and that willingness matters. Many of us know the hollow feeling of getting something we thought would fulfill us, so this verse invites us to consider what we're really trusting or celebrating in our lives.
