What does Job 3:26 mean?

Job is describing a state of complete inner turmoil where nothing brings him relief or peace. Despite any external comfort, his mind and spirit find no settlement because suffering keeps overwhelming him. He's expressing what many of us recognize in our hardest moments: when grief or pain is deep enough, rest feels impossible no matter what we try. This raw honesty in the middle of Job's losses shows why this book speaks so powerfully to people in crisis, because sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is simply name how broken we actually feel.
