What does Job 24:23 mean?

Even when life feels unfair, this verse reminds us that God's awareness never slips. Job is wrestling with the mystery of why the wicked sometimes seem comfortable and undisturbed, and he acknowledges that yes, they may feel secure in their prosperity, but God is still watching. Nothing escapes his notice, not their actions or their choices. There's something both sobering and comforting here, depending on where you stand. If you're suffering while others seem to get away with wrong, it can hurt to read this, yet it also means your pain isn't hidden from God either. He sees you too. His eyes are on all our ways, both the ones we hide and the ones we live openly. That constant attention is what makes justice possible, even when we can't see it happening yet.
