What does Job 23:7 mean?
Job is expressing a deep longing to stand before God face-to-face and present his case. He believes that if he could meet God directly and speak honestly about his suffering, God would listen to his argument and recognize his innocence, freeing him from the weight of feeling judged and condemned. This comes at a moment when Job feels abandoned and misunderstood. He's confident in his own integrity, but his friends and circumstances have made him feel like a criminal before God. What he really wants isn't escape or punishment reduced, but vindication, recognition, and restored relationship. His hope is that direct encounter with God would settle everything.
