What does Job 21:19 mean?
Job is responding to his friends' arguments that God punishes sin through generational consequences, punishing children for their parents' wrongs. He's challenging this idea by saying, in effect: if that's how God works, then let God experience the punishment himself rather than passing it down to innocent kids.
