What does Job 2:1 mean?
This passage shows Satan appearing in God's heavenly court alongside the other spiritual beings, much like a member of God's council reporting on his activities. It's the second heavenly scene in Job's story, happening after Satan has already tested Job's faith by destroying his possessions and family. The fact that Satan returns "again" suggests he's come back to report on how Job responded, and perhaps to argue for permission to test him further.
