Job 19:25
“But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives. In the end, he will stand upon the earth.”
What does Job 19:25 mean?
Job speaks these words while stripped of everything: his health, his wealth, his children, his reputation. His friends have abandoned him with cruel accusations, and he's sitting alone in ashes. Yet in this darkest moment, he declares something that sounds almost defiant—not defiance against God, but trust in Him. Job is saying that no matter what he can see with his eyes right now, he knows redemption is real and that God will ultimately make things right. The promise here isn't that everything will be fixed tomorrow or that his suffering will stop making sense.
