What does Job 19:1 mean?
Job is responding to one of his friends who has just spoken to him, continuing their intense conversation about suffering and God's justice. By this point in the book, Job has endured unimaginable loss, and his friends keep insisting he must have sinned to deserve such pain, which only deepens his confusion and grief. What follows in the next verses will be some of his most raw and honest words, where he expresses both his despair and his stubborn faith that God will ultimately vindicate him.
