What does Job 14:6 mean?
Job is asking God to simply turn away and give him some peace, the way an employer might let a hired worker finish out his day without constant scrutiny. He's not angry here so much as exhausted, desperate for a break from the relentless weight of his suffering and the feeling that God is watching his every move, judging him.
