Job 12:9
“Who doesn’t know that in all these, Yahweh’s hand has done this,”
What does Job 12:9 mean?
Job is making a point that seems almost obvious: the natural world itself testifies to God's power and presence. A person would have to be willfully blind not to see that the created order, from animals to seasons to the turning of the earth, bears the fingerprints of God's hand. This comes at a moment when Job is deeply suffering, yet he's actually defending God's wisdom against his friends who keep insisting Job must have done something wrong. Job acknowledges that creation itself proves God's reality and authority, even when we can't understand why hard things happen to good people. Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is say, "I don't have all the answers, but I can still see that God is real and sovereign."
