What does Jeremiah 7:15 mean?
God is warning the people of Judah that if they continue down their current path of injustice and false worship, they'll face the same exile that already befell the northern kingdom of Israel (Ephraim). This isn't an angry outburst but a serious consequence: turning away from God's ways leads to separation from His presence and protection. The phrase "cast you out of my sight" carries real weight because, throughout the Bible, being near God is understood as blessing and security. When Jeremiah speaks these words, the northern tribes had already been scattered by Assyrian conquest generations earlier, so this warning comes with historical evidence attached.
